Stylin' Stella.

Untitled #10

all baubles (Stella & Dot)//blouse (J.Crew), jeans (J.Brand), ballets (Madewell)//sweater (J.Crew), jeans (J.Brand), chucks  (Converse)//dress (Tibi), heels (Michael Kors), clutch (DVF), sweater (Michael Kors), leggings (Paige), boots (Zara)

It's no secret that I am an avid fan of Stella & Dot gems.  I've sported them in many a post as a matter of fact (see HEREHERE, & HERE).  I love the unique versatility of the pieces & how they add just the right touch to a rig.  With that in mind and the upcoming holiday season, I thought it was the perfect time to host a Stella & Dot Online Trunk Show.  I wanted the above collage to highlight the gem's ability to be worn casually, fancy, layered, or solo. So whether you're thinking something for mom, sis, MIL, SIL, BFF, or your lovely self, take a gander at the GEMS & let me know what you're pondering.

PS--What's a little shopping without some incentive, right?  For those who spend $30 or more, you will be entered to win a Renegade Cluster Bracelet (one of my absolute, wear with everything, faves--see looks 1 & 2 above).  If you purchase the Renegade & win, you can choose something of equal or lesser value!  If y'all have any questions, please feel free to email me at seersuckerandsaddles@gmail.com.  Make it a good one, gang!

Personally Gifted

Untitled #9

1.  Clare Vivier clutch
2.  Clare Vivier iPad sleeve
3.  C.Wonder jewelry box
4.  Max & Chloe earrings
5.  Kate Spade notecards
6.  Maya Brenner state necklace
7.  C.Wonder belt
8.  Jonathan Adler pillow

Going out on a limb here and assuming everyone loves a good personalized treat as much as I do.  You know what I love about giving a personalized trinket..simple..it's personal!  While monograms/initials are a classic, currently they're quite the trend as well.  Lucky for us they are gracing everything from clutches & jewels to stationary & belts.  Selfishly, I am hoping some of the elves in my life are seeing this post and take note...that means you, Sis & Bits! Happy Shopping, gang!

The Mashup

look 1:  jacket (Zara), dress (Juicy Couture, major SALE HERE), wellies (Hunter) bangle (Jennifer ZeunerVoce Lexington, KY), ring (Lagos), watch (Michael Kors), shades (Ray Ban), tote (Louis Vuitton Mon Monogram) // look 2:  coat (Express old, LOVE THISTHIS, or THIS), jeans (7FAM ancient), ballets (Belle by Sigerson Morrison, love THESE on sale HERE), tee (GAP), bag (Burberry), shades (Ray Ban) // gloves (Target), bracelet (Stella & Dot Adele Lexington, KY) watch (Michael Kors)
These looks almost didn't make the cut, but then I thought, each one has a piece that I truly love and think everyone needs for the chill--hence, The Mashup (winter addition).  First and foremost, the Hunter Wellie.  I love these classics so darn much, so much so that I have them in 3 shades.  You will see me sporting these guys many a day in the winter--the perfect barrier from snow & rain.  Second runner up, a good batch of gloves.  So here is my annual ritual once the fall is upon us, I stock up on a bevy of these $1.99 suckers from Target year after year (because they will pill by season's end)....snip the tips for touch screen access, and voila!  Lastly, a Leopard Coat...it is the perfect topper over a relaxed fit t-shirt, stripes, a bright splash of hot pink, or even a cocktail ensemble.  So while these shots almost hit the chopping block, I'm glad I spared em'  --although I am taking serious note on the leopard coat shot to never, ever miss my 6 week haircut appt--good grief, Shaggy!  Shawnee, I'm coming for you Friday, kid!

How We Wore

Coming to you with another collage featuring one of my favorite toppers of the season, the Fur Vest. Be it stripes, leather, plaid, or print, each lady illustrates fur is quite versatile and can be worn many a way!  Make sure you take a gander over to each of the gals' sites (listed below) for more deets on their looks.  I loved pairing up with these lovely ladies and look forward to doing so again in the near future.

Tee it Up

tee (Kate Spade, AJs Casuals, Lexington), jacket (Gap, love this Distressed version), pants & belt (J.Crew, current option HERE), booties (Belle by Sigerson Morrison), shades (Ray Ban), bracelets (J.Crew, Stella & DotAsos), clutch (Treesje)
I remember purchasing my first Kate Spade bag when I was a sophomore in college (which was ages ago I might add).  I adored that bag and carried it religiously..well MANY years later, she is still one of my absolute faves not only in the handbag world, but shoes, baubles, and clothing as well.  Lucky for us, her quirk is all over the place and I couldn't love it any more!
For us Lexingtonians, AJs Casuals serves up a boatload of Kate Spade.  Check out some of her quirk at its finest below.  This Saturday (11/17) enter code H12WARD at checkout on Kate Spade's site for an extra 20% off.  Y'all make it a good one & have a fantastic weekend!

The Layers

jacket (HM similar HERE), vest (J.Crew, love THIS), blouse (Gap), jeans (7 for all Mankind--ANCIENT), ballets (Kate Spade), watch & shades (Michael Kors), bracelets (Stella & Dot, Asos), bag (Louis Vuitton)
The Puffer Vest. Oh is she a winter staple indeed.  I own this pup in about 4 different shades and wear them tirelessly through the winter.  Paired over denim jackets, sweatshirts, sweaters, sleeved dresses...they add the perfect layered element of sport chic to any rig....and more importantly, they are terribly cozy & warm.  Do your winter wardrobe a favor and snag one...see some options below (I couldn't resist the fur because it is on major sale)!  Make it a good one!

Nets & Nanette

dress (Nanette Lepore, AJs Casuals, Lexington or non-Kentuckians Here), coat (Banana Republic, similar below), belt (Gap),  tights (Commando or affordable options at Target), shoes (Charles Jourdan), tote (Gucci) ring (Lagos), watch (Cartier), shades (colors in optiCS)
If I was to describe this ensemble to you without having seen it, you may be quite alarmed or think I'm turning tricks downtown.  Lace, fishnets, cherry red--sounds um, tacky--yes?  Well hardly, as this little Nanette Lepore number is about as darling as darling gets--thank you AJs Casuals!  Add a subtly patterned tight & a classic red coat, and you've got yourself a pretty timeless look.  Speaking of timeless, I am in the market for a new black tote.  Granted, I love this Gucci as it has stood the test of time...but I'm getting a little antsy and well frankly, I've been a pretty good gal this year, Santa!  I am open to any suggestions--currently pondering the lovelies below (as well as some lovely red coat options for y'all).  Also, take a gander at my current craves located to the left.  Finally...big thanks for all of your sweet comments regarding My Brood's Video....Make it a good one!

My Brood

I couldn't resist sharing what is already my most cherished keepsake of my crew.  We embarked on our annual family Christmas photo session with my gal, Kristin Tatemseveral weeks ago.  Not only have I relied on this insanely talented friend for my blog photos, but she has also shot my ladies since they were babes.  Oh my goodness did she outdo herself and give us the ultimate gift, this video montage of our session that day!  To have this precious time in my children's lives captured on film is beyond invaluable.  I will treasure this forever, Kristin, and thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I dedicate this post to you, missy, as well as the folks that helped make it extra special, Blossom of Lexington for the precious Tea clothing, Barker's Christmas Tree Farm, Geneva Harris, and most importantly, my precious family--I love you all from here to the moon!
You all have a wonderful weekend--I hope you enjoy this little slice of my crew!

Distressed Trench

trench (Zara--similar), tee (HM), jeans (7 for all Mankind), shoes (Michael Kors--Fun Option HERE), belt (J.Crew), tote (Kooba options HERE & HERE), shades (Michael Kors, necklaces (vintage), watch (Michael Kors), ring (Lagos), bracelets (Asos & Stella & Dot)
Inspired by a spread in this month's Lucky Magazine (with Brit on the cover), the tagline, "Metallics Make Everything Cooler," immediately caught my eye.  I fell in love with the idea because the metallic elements definitely elevate this classic stripe & trench look.   To me, this is what inspiration is all about--dog earring & pinning some lovely looks, perusing your closet, and turning them into your own!  Do tell, where do you look for inspiration?
Y'all have a fantastic weekend....we're getting a little warm spike so I'm sure ours will be spent outdoors.

In Living Color

jeans (Kate Spade, AJs Casuals, Lexington), blazer & button down (J.Crew), flats (Kate Spade), belt (Old Navy), watch & shades (Michael Kors) bracelets (J.Crew, Gap, Adele of Lexington), necklaces (vintage)
Feeling less than stellar?  Toss on a major dose of color and I guarantee it will add major pep in your step.  Just because the weather may be a tad dreary, doesn't mean our rigs need to be as well.  The color purple is quite regal, but it is also extremely versatile, too.  These Kate Spade jeans will pair with more than meets the eye--navy, yellow, fuchsia, or royal blue.  And don't forget about your neutrals like gray, cream with gold accessories, or camel layered with some chambray & leopard of course!
Onto the big winner of the Piperlime Giveaway....a big congrats to Ms. Lauren Ross!  You, my dear, are well on your way to scoring some Piperlime swag!  I truly cannot thank you all enough for participating...I'm already excited for our next Giveaway!  You all have a lovely evening...I'll be back in the morning with another post!
