Classic Stripes

jacket (Banana Republic, sold out, see alternate stripes HERE, casual stripes HERE, cropped stripes HERE), blouse (Zara), pants (J.Crew), bag (Linea Pelle on SALE c/o), heels (Zara), shades (Gucci), bracelets (J.Crew, Sylvia Benson c/o), rings (Lagos), watch (Cartier), pearls (unknown--possibly mom's)

Can't get much more classic than black & white (kinda cream but same difference).  And while I love a classic look as much as the next gal, I still always feel the need to add one (or two) elements of interest---say maybe a brightly colored Satchel or a striped trench.  I wore this look to Work several weeks ago and it def won't be the last time I sport it!
Sending warm wishes to my fellow Lexingtonians--hear it's a winter wonderland up there!  Cheers to a lovely Thanksgiving with tons of good eats and quality family time!

PS--only two more days for the Loren Hope Giveaway--make sure to get your entry on--good little chandeliers for the holidays!

Adele All Day

So I truly am so very excited to share that Adele of Lexington now has an ONLINE SHOP!  I've been a long time fan of both Heather & Meghann (owners) and their insane buying power--the gals know how to curate a really sick collection of jewels (see pics above)  and home decor.  I'm beyond thrilled that non-Lexingtonians can now share in my love and borderline addiction for all things Adele.  The gals of Adele have the knack for adorning their shop with a beautiful high-low mix which allows for something perfect for women of all ages--think Hyla Dewitt, local talent Stacey Gudeman, Honey Rose & K, and--wait for it...Bourbon & Boweties--yep, B&B is now avail at Adele!  And if that hasn't enticed you enough, how great that Adele is offering
s + s readers 20% off with the code SEERSUCKER.  How about a little Black Tuesday action??  Speaking of, Lexingtonians, Adele will be having a Stocking Sale in store on Friday where you can draw a discount ranging from 10-25% off.  Alright gang, I'm off my soapbox, but def do yourself a favor and check out Adele..I was just in the shop last week and they're constantly adding new goodies!
PS:  Make sure you also hop on over to yesterday's Giveaway Post--it's a goodin'--make it a good one!

A Weekender

jacket (Gap, see similar SPLURGE vs STEAL), denim (DL1961 ON SALE FOR 68!!!!), heels (J.Crew), shirt (Loft), scarf (HM c/o), gloves (Target), bag (Michael Kors), bracelets (J.Crew, Sylvia Benson c/o), earrings (Sylvia Benson c/o), watch (Michael Kors)

Minus the Heels, which I love and wear ALL OF THE TIME BTW, this rig is perfect for the day of errands & Christmas shopping I have ahead of me..yes, I said it...but we leave for FLA next week and I need to get my head in the game before we go!  Cozy and layered up, it's perfectly pulled together and comfy--thinking I'll sub the heels for either THESE or a pair of LEOPARD BALLETS.  Quick little side note, not sure if you all remember my little tip from last year regarding my annual Target Glove stock up, but each year I purchase a slew of these pups and snip the tips off of them--at $3 a pop, stock up on those bad boys---come in a range of stripes and colors!  Alright gang, make it a great weekend...nippy here in the Bluegrass!

White 365

coat (J.Crew 25% with code WINTER ), sweater (Banana Republic), jeans (7FAM on SALE), heels (Zara), bag (Michael Kors), shades (Gucci)

I don't abide by the whole no white after Labor Day nonsense--never have.  It's the Floridian in me.  However, I do believe there are a few tips regarding the white post Labor Day.  First and foremost, texture.  Obviously linens is a no-go.  Denim, cords, leather, wool--all get the green light in my book.  Expanding on the texture tip, pair your whites with winter textures.  Case in point This Cream Sweater is about as chunky and textured as they get (just snagged THIS CHUNKY CABLE in gray and RED).  Also keep in mind the color palette--I'm digging the whole neutral vibe of this look, creams, grays, blacks--they all seem to complement on another.  Top it off with a Wool Coat, and you've transitioned your summer whites into the cooler months.  One other nice thing about this no fuss look--all pieces that most of us probably have ready to wear in our closets. My rule--wear that white 365 days a year.  Have a good one, gang!

Caps & Stripes

hat (J.Crew), pants (J.Crew), turtleneck (HM c/o), jacket (Gap see SIMILAR), oxfords (Zara in stores, see SIMILAR), bag (Michael Kors), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), watch (Cartier)

This HAT definitely ain't new news, tons of people have been spotted sporting it, but ooohhh do I love it.  No stranger to the ball cap (see HERE), I knew I had to add this 'dressier' version to my arsenal.  I've had it for about a week now and I've already worn it HERE, errands, school drop off when my hair is truly an atrocity--pretty much every day--would so wear it to work if I could.  I'm also planning to nix the metallic loafers next go around and pair this look with some KICKS and a quirky SCARF for a more casual & cozy feel....which is kinda the beauty of these Leather Detailed Pants. I've sported them a little dressier for work HERE and clearly they transition into the casual role pretty easily, too!  Alright gang, make it a good one!

Stripe Your Plaid

vest (J.Crew on Sale), shirt (J.Crew, dig THIS), jeans (DL 1961 ), heels (J.Crew), tote (Linea Pelle on SALE c/o), hat (CrewCuts), shades (Ray Ban), bracelets (J.Crew, Sylvia Benson c/o), earrings (Sylvia Benson c/o),  watch (Michael Kors), ring (Lagos, Anna Beck)

Apologies upfront for the insane repetition of THESE DISTRESSED JEANS both on posts & INSTAGRAM, but when you find denim you love, you buy two pairs and wear the hell outta them!  Another thing that will be in heavy rotation is this look, but you all know I'll pair it with THESE SUCKERS the majority of the season.  I am so going to get my ROI on this VEST, too, because if anyone loves a good stripe, it's this gal.  I'm thinking next round I'll layer it over a second set of stripes--endless possibilities!  PS:  don't forget about kids' sections for cute winter accessories--my daughter and I are already fighting over this little boys HAT from CrewCuts--I have to admit, it looks WAY cuter on her!  Alright gang, make it a good one & enjoy your weekend!
